By downloading, installing, or using Savor Scan ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Savor Scan is an AI-powered mobile application that:

  • Scans restaurant menus using your device's camera
  • Uses artificial intelligence to estimate ingredients and detect potential allergens
  • Provides personalized menu recommendations based on user-defined preferences
  • Generates questions for restaurant staff in the menu's original language

3. Important Disclaimer — Not Medical Advice

Savor Scan provides AI-based estimates only. The app does not guarantee the accuracy of ingredient identification or allergen detection. Results should be used as a reference tool, not as a definitive guide for medical or dietary decisions.

  • Always confirm allergens and dietary restrictions directly with restaurant staff.
  • Do not rely solely on Savor Scan for severe allergy management.
  • This app is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • In case of a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.

4. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for accurately entering your allergy and preference information.
  • You are responsible for verifying analysis results with restaurant staff before consuming any food.
  • You must not use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

5.1 Free Tier: All core features are available for free, with rewarded interstitial ads displayed during analysis.

5.2 Pro Subscription: A monthly subscription ($14.99/month) removes all ads and provides priority analysis speed.

5.3 Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.

5.4 Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

5.5 Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's store settings (App Store or Google Play). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5.6 Refunds: Refund policies are governed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store terms. We do not process refunds directly.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Savor Scan — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and the overall design — are the property of Savor Scan and are protected by intellectual property laws.

  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app.
  • You may not reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app.

7. User-Generated Content

When you submit feedback reports about incorrect analysis results:

  • You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use this feedback to improve the app's analysis accuracy.
  • Feedback is anonymized and cannot be traced back to individual users.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Savor Scan is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that analysis results will be accurate or complete.
  • We shall not be liable for any allergic reactions, health issues, or damages arising from reliance on the app's analysis results.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the preceding 12 months.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Savor Scan, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these terms.

10. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time without prior notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
